Ever stepped into a freezing changing room after a swim? It’s miserable. You need heat, and you need it now. That’s where shortwave infrared (IR) comes in. Built to Survive the Steam
Water and electricity don’t get along. Especially in locker rooms or outdoor patios where you’ve got steam, rain, and dust flying around. We use an IP65 rating for our chassis. In plain English: it’s dust-tight and can handle water jets hitting it from any angle. We seal the connections and the housing tight so you don’t have to worry about corrosion or short circuits. Plus, we build the cases out of stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum. It won’t rust, even if it’s living in a humid sauna environment.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
These heaters pack a punch, which means they pull a lot of power. You’ll want to double-check your wiring and breakers to make sure they can handle the initial surge. And a word of advice on placement:don’t mount them too low. Since the heat is so intense, putting a unit too close to the user can feel like standing too close to an oven. We usually help calculate the perfect height so it feels comfortable, not scorching. Oh, and leave a little breathing room behind the unit. The internal electronics need a bit of air so they don’t bake themselves.
